Is VastuIQ free to use? +
Yes — the basic analysis is completely free. You get your Vastu score, one defect preview, one remedy and a basic PDF at no cost. For the full room-by-room analysis with all defects, remedies, AI floor plan and a professional 8–18 page report, paid plans start at ₹299. No signup required.
How accurate is an online Vastu calculator? +
VastuIQ uses a weighted algorithmic scoring engine based on classical Vastu Shastra rules. Accuracy depends on the accuracy of information you provide — always use a compass to confirm your exact facing direction. The tool is highly accurate for directional Vastu but cannot account for road hits or neighbouring construction that only an on-site visit reveals.
What is a good Vastu score? +
85–100 = Excellent (proceed confidently). 70–84 = Good (minor adjustments). 55–69 = Average (targeted fixes needed). 40–54 = Below Average (multiple defects, remedies important). Below 40 = Poor (serious concerns). Most well-designed properties score 65–82.
Vastu Shastra
Can Vastu defects be fixed without demolition? +
Yes — most Vastu defects can be corrected without demolition. Effective no-construction remedies include Vastu pyramids, sea salt bowls, copper strips, repositioning furniture, changing room usage, improving lighting and specific colours. Structural corrections are only needed for the most severe defects like a toilet in the NE.
Which is the most important element in Vastu? +
The main entrance is the single most important element — it determines energy flow into the entire property. Next, the Northeast corner must be kept clean and open. Master bedroom in Southwest and kitchen in Southeast complete the four most critical placements.
What is the Brahmasthana? +
The Brahmasthana is the central zone of a property — the energy core of the entire home. It must be kept open, clean and free of pillars, heavy furniture or toilets. A blocked Brahmasthana affects the health and mental clarity of all occupants.
Is North-facing always the best direction? +
In India, North and East-facing are most auspicious. But in Australia (Southern Hemisphere) the Sun travels North — making North-facing the best direction there too, for different reasons. In the UK, South-facing is preferred for maximum winter sunlight. VastuIQ automatically adjusts these based on your location.

Does Vastu work outside India? +
Yes — the core principles of Vastu (directional energy, solar alignment, thermal balance) are geography-independent. Specific directional rules must adapt for local climate and hemisphere. Three rules remain constant globally: kitchen in SE, master bedroom in SW, Pooja room in NE. VastuIQ is built on this geo-adaptive framework.

Always select where the property is located — not where you live. Buying a flat in Mohali while living in the UK? Select India. Checking your London home? Select United Kingdom. VastuIQ analyses the property's energy based on its geography.
How is Vastu different in Australia? +
In Australia's Southern Hemisphere, the Sun travels East to North to West — opposite to India. North-facing rooms receive maximum sunlight. VastuIQ's Australia mode flips solar direction rules accordingly. Kitchen SE, master SW and pooja NE remain unchanged as they are based on elemental principles, not solar direction.
